Russia: Ukrainian drone and missile attack on an oil refinery in the Ryazan region
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ukrainian attack using drones and missiles on a Russian oil refinery in the Ryazan region, south-east of Moscow.
"A massive drone attack has caused a fire at an oil refinery in the Ryazan region of central Russia. In addition, a warehouse and several cars were damaged within an industrial site in Ryazan," writes the TASS news agency, citing a report from the Russian Ministry of Defence. Overnight, Moscow says, 166 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed.
In an interview with the Financial Times, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv would resume attacks on Russian refineries despite the energy truce announced by US President Donald Trump.
Russia had already reported yesterday that there had been an attempted attack on refineries in the Ryazan and Saratov regions, whilst Kyiv had insisted that the targets were elsewhere. Moscow, for its part, has repeatedly targeted a number of power stations in Ukraine in recent days, causing power cuts.
