Saipem: wins offshore contract in the Middle East, worth approximately $1.8 billion
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Saipem has been awarded an offshore EPCI contract in the Middle East worth approximately $1.8 billion. The company, which specialises in engineering and the construction of major projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, announced this in a press release. Specifically, the contract stipulates that Saipem will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of offshore and subsea structures. The project, the statement explains, “will draw on Saipem’s proven track record in the construction of offshore pipelines and infrastructure in the region, supported by the presence of a local operational fleet and the company’s advanced engineering capabilities.”
