"We are at work as a ministry for the entire redrafting of the Consolidated Law on Construction and for the urban regeneration project that will be so useful". Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini completes his answer to the House question time on the pasticcio del Salva Milano with an indication that is only a partial opening.

The Salva Milano case

.

The openness is linked to the fact that the head of Porta Pia identifies as many as two potential vehicles for solving the chaos of the thousands of families (around 15,000, according to the latest estimates) caught up in the chaos of the Lombard capital. The problem - and herein lies the hold-up - is that both measures will take a long time. The reform of the Testo Unico would have to pass through a delegated law, which has not even been presented yet (the ministry has recently closed a consultation on the subject). While the Decree on Urban Regeneration, under discussion in the Senate Environment Committee, is still far from completing its first reading.

The news, however, is that the path of the Save Milan bill, after the explosion of the latest corruption-related investigation strand, is at this point closed. What is lacking, however, at the moment is an alternative that solves the issue urgently: 'I am available to accompany the process that the local administrations will be interested in pursuing,' explains Salvini. Stressing, once again, how the stalemate in which the city has plunged depends, first and foremost, on the position of the mayor who, in recent weeks, has withdrawn his support for the bill. Salvini again: 'I would have already solved the problem last year, I hope that the mayor of Milan has a clear line to follow because the need to clarify the issue is linked both tothe protection of blameless families and to the relaunch of a strategic economic and productive sector for the city'. There remains, however, one point, stressed by Salvini: 'Judicial and administrative matters cannot fall on 15 thousand families who in complete good faith bought a house'.

Beach concessions

.

On the minister's table there is also another dossier that is burning: it is the one on beach concessions on which the Porta Pia ministry, Salvini reported, "has prepared the outline of the regulation on indemnities to be paid to outgoing concessionaires, in the event of the concession being awarded to a different economic operator. As for the procedure, "the regulation scheme is currently being examined by the Ministry of the Economy in order to be sent to the Council of State and at the same time to the European Commission".

Costly flights and punctuality of trains

.

To those who asked him about the priced flights in view of the holidays, Salvini replied that "at present, according to provisional ISTAT data on domestic flights, in March 2025 there was a 2.6% fall in prices compared to the same month of the previous year, and the data provided by the companies showed a greater demand for flights on the routes between Cagliari, Palermo and Catania to Rome and Milan and a decrease in the reverse routes". Then the blow: "It is curious that those who ask to spend less to get to Sicily are against the bridge over the Strait of Messina, which will make it possible to get there faster while spending less," the minister remarked in response to the question tabled by the M5s.

Finally, when asked about the punctuality of trains, the tenant of Porta Pia reported that 'in the first months of 2025 punctuality has increased, in March for high-speed trains to 82.8%, for intercity trains to 89.4% and for regional trains to 91.3%'.
