August, the big summer festivals are in full swing. In Salzburg, where in the opera pit we find a line-up such as the Vienna Philharmonic, as for Donizetti's 'Maria Stuarda', with two voices such as Lisette Oropesa and Kate Lindsay; or a prose novelty, by two Russian dissidents such as Sorokin and Serebrennikov. At Glyndebourne we can catch up - if we missed it - with Jánaček's 'Káťa Kabanová', directed by Michieletto, which premiered there in 2021. In Lucerne we have an excellent opportunity for close encounters with great symphonic ensembles.
