St Michael’s Day: the celebration at Milan Cathedral
The day began at Milan Cathedral, where Mass was celebrated by Metropolitan Archbishop Mario Delpini. The service was also attended by the Vice-President of the Senate, Licia Ronzulli, and the Mayor, Giuseppe Sala.
This was followed by a visit to La Scala, attended by the director, Fortunato Ortombina. Here, the focus of the day shifted to young people and the issues that the police deal with on a daily basis, including in schools.
Games, quizzes, educational videos and debates addressed road and rail safety, cyber security, bullying and respect for diversity. The event was hosted by Daniele Grassucci, director of Skuola.net. Content creator Giusy Di Fratta, who has previously been involved in police awareness campaigns aimed at young people, also took part. Massimiliano Caiazzo, an actor from the series *Mare Fuori*, also took to the stage to deliver a monologue addressed to the students.
