The Milan Regional Administrative Court rejected the request for a suspension of the sale of the San Siro stadium and areas by the City Council to Inter and Milan presented by the Comitato Sì Meazza.

The municipality can therefore at the moment go ahead with the procedure for the sale of the Meazza and the areas that it would like to conclude in the last few days in order to arrive at the council on Monday.

At the centre of the appeal is also the interpretation of the 70-year restriction on the second ring of the stadium, which according to the municipality dates back to 10 November 1955, while according to the Comitato Sì Meazza, it would have already been triggered because it dates back to January 1955. According to the judges, "the evaluations expressed in the preliminary opinion of the competent Superintendence regarding the age requirement, 70 years from the execution of the second ring, do not appear implausible," reads the judge, "where they identify the Verbale di constatazione di compimento di compiimento dei lavori, collaudo provvisorio, dated 10 November 1955, which is the first act certifying the completion of the works envisaged by the main contract, as the reference date for verifying the passage of the seventy years from the execution of the works themselves. Moreover, according to the Regional Administrative Tribunal, "the prescribed 'periculum in mora' does not even appear to exist, deduced in a generic manner and mostly by referring to the imminent stipulation of the contract for the sale of the Meazza Stadium, which, in itself, does not seem to highlight irreparable damage," it goes on to say, "with regard to the circumstance that the demolition of the Meazza Stadium will not take place before 2030.
