Intesa Sanpaolo: over 155,000 pupils and teachers visit the Museum of Saving
Some 13,000 students studying abroad are also taking part, thanks to innovative and interactive programmes that prepare young people for the economic challenges of the future
During the 2025–2026 academic year, Intesa Sanpaolo’s Museo del Risparmio reaffirmed its role as a national centre of excellence in financial literacy education, consolidating an educational model based on scientific rigour, methodological innovation and inclusion.
Thanks to an increasingly comprehensive, inclusive and innovative educational programme, the Museum has engaged a total of 155,031 pupils and teachers from primary and secondary schools throughout Italia and abroad, representing a 32 per cent increase compared with the previous year. A total of 1,557 educational activities – including financial literacy programmes, workshops, guided tours and in-depth events – were delivered to schools, amounting to a total of 2,277 hours of training.
International presence
Thanks to Flitin (Financial Literacy International Network), the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s network operating in Italia and eleven other European and non-European countries, the Museum has been able to share and replicate its established educational programmes abroad, reaching over 13,000 students outside Italy.
Commenting on this point, Giovanna Paladino, director and curator of the Museo del Risparmio, said: ‘In a context marked by growing economic, social and geopolitical uncertainty, the ability to understand decisions concerning money, saving, consumption, work and the future is no longer a secondary skill, but an essential component of citizenship. Above all, financial and economic education serves as a tool for interpreting reality, evaluating alternatives, recognising risks, understanding the consequences of decisions and developing autonomy – in short, it educates people to make informed choices.”
