Acqua Sant’Anna’s 30th anniversary: a story that is already looking ahead to the next fifty years
Over 600 people gathered in Vinadio to celebrate Acqua Sant’Anna’s 30th anniversary. In memory of the founder, Alberto Bertone, the chairman, Fabrizio Bertone, and the chief executive, Luca Cheri, reaffirmed the vision and values that will guide the company’s development over the next fifty years
“These thirty years are an important part of our history, of all our histories. And they are just the beginning of a story destined to stand the test of time.” With these words, the chairman Fabrizio Bertone, brother of the founder Alberto, who passed away prematurely in 2025, opened the celebrations for the thirtieth anniversary of Acqua Sant’Anna S.p.A., a privately-owned Italian company founded in Vinadio (Cuneo) and developed thanks to the entrepreneurial vision and collaboration of the Bertone and Osella families, who are its shareholders. The celebration, which took place on Saturday 25 July in Vinadio, on the eve of the feast day of Saint Anne, brought together over 600 people, including employees, their families and representatives of the main institutions in the Cuneo area, to celebrate the company’s first 30 years and look back on its journey, during which it has grown whilst always maintaining strong ties with the local area. In his speech, Fabrizio Bertone reflected on the significance of this milestone and how the company’s journey has been shaped by the contributions of so many people: ‘All those who have believed in us, and even those who, sadly, are no longer with us, are with us every day and continue to support us in growing this business. Today, having come this far, we wish to reaffirm the commitment of the entire Sant’Anna family. I would like to thank the local authorities, and above all the people who believe in this company and in the local area, which is of fundamental importance to us.” Confindustria Cuneo was also present, represented by its Vice-President, Alberto Biraghi, who presented the company with a plaque “in recognition of its 30 years of success”. The memory of Alberto Bertone was the central theme of the chairman’s speech. “This evening I am representing my brother Alberto, and I feel a double sense of responsibility to live up to what he has built. Together with Luca Cheri (CEO of Acqua Sant’Anna), who plays a vital role in our company, alongside the young people who are our future, and together with all of you, we will continue to work ever harder to set an example.” A message that looks to the future without forgetting our roots. “Humility, dedication and determination have enabled us – starting from scratch and coming from completely different backgrounds – to become a benchmark in our sector. And these are the very values with which we intend to continue growing.” Our sights are already set on the next phase of development. “The first thirty years represent the starting point for a new phase,” explained Luca Cheri, Managing Director of Acqua Sant’Anna. People, quality, technology and innovation are the pillars on which we continue to build to create and drive growth for the next fifty years.”
The 30th-anniversary celebrations thus represented not only the story of an entrepreneurial journey built up over time, but also an opportunity to reaffirm the company’s commitment to a growth model focused on sustainability, through innovations in production processes, logistics and the protection of water resources. They also marked the passing of the baton to the future. A future that Acqua Sant’Anna intends to continue building, starting from Vinadio, drawing on its strong ties to the local area and the people who, over the past thirty years, have helped transform an entrepreneurial vision into one of the leading players in the mineral water sector.
