Saturday sees the return of Friends and Enemies with Marianna Aprile and Daniele Bellasio (and new columns)

Domestic and international politics, school and sport are the topics at the centre of the first episode of a new season full of novelties. After the summer break, Daniele Bellasio's 'Friends and Enemies' with Marianna Aprile returns to Radio 24 on Saturday 13 September. Once again this year, the programme, now in its third season, will be broadcast live every Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and repeated every Sunday from 9 p.m. Once again this year, the episodes will be introduced by the presenters' editorials

After the summer break, the Friends and Enemies, with Marianna Aprile and Daniele Bellasio, returns on Radio 24 on Saturday 13 September. Once again this year, the programme, now in its third season, will be broadcast live every Saturday from 8.30 to 10 a.m., and in repeats every Sunday from 2.30. Also this year the episodes will be introduced by the presenters' editorials

Starting at about 8.45am, the first guest of the season will be Giuseppe Sarcina, Washington correspondent of the Corriere della Sera. With him, Aprile and Bellasio will talk about foreign policy: from the worrying escalation in Poland to the State of the Union address delivered by European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen on Wednesday, to the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in the US.

Next, we will talk about school. The return to the classroom after the holidays and the ban on the use of mobile phones for all male and female students will be the starting topics of the interview with Vanessa Roghi, historian, television author and writer - her latest book is entitled La parola femminista (Feltrinelli 2024).

Immediately afterwards, we will turn the page with a novelty: the collaboration between Friends and Foes and YouTrend begins with YouTRE, polls without numbers in three minutes with which, every week, we will explain the impact on the electorate of the most recent political events. In this first episode the poll will be presented by Lorenzo Pregliasco, co-founder and editor-in-chief of YouTrend. And that's not the only new feature, there will also be editorials in a tweet and the choice of the 'Trump of the week'.

In closing, we will talk about sport (and language), starting with the victory of the Italian women's volleyball team, the national team, the championship that is restarting and the controversy following the Israel-Italy telecast with Paolo Maggioni, journalist and writer, from this year co-host of the programme 'La domenica sportiva on Rai 2' and in recent months in bookshops with the book Una domenica senza fine (SEM, 2025).
