At ai-PULSE 2025, the European conference for developers and builders of artificial intelligence systems underway in Paris, Scaleway unveiled what it calls the most comprehensive sovereign AI stack available in Europe today. The announcement comes at a crucial time for the continent: demand is growing for a reliable, energy-efficient cloud aligned with European regulatory requirements, while businesses are looking for local alternatives to the big US and Chinese hyperscalers.
A central part of the new announcements concerns the model ecosystem. Following the integration with Hugging Face, Scaleway expands its offering by becoming the first independent European provider to provide an extensive catalogue of open source models that can be deployed directly on its infrastructure. Among them debuts Holo 2, the new model developed by H, designed to combine advanced reasoning capabilities and understanding of digital interfaces. A feature that makes it particularly suitable for agent workflows and applications that require effective interaction with real software tools.
The company is also expanding its integration with Mistral AI, making the entire suite of templates available: tools geared towards conversation, document understanding, code assistance and a variety of vertical scenarios for industry. The aim is to offer a complete platform to manage the entire artificial intelligence lifecycle, from experimentation to production.
On the hardware front, however, Scaleway confirms its strategy of bringing new generations of AI accelerators to Europe ahead of the market. During the event, the company announced the availability of Nvidia Blackwell Ultra B300 GPUs, designed for AI agentic environments and large-scale inference. This is the first time this type of processor has come to the European cloud market, reinforcing the Paris-based company's position as one of the most active players in high-performance AI.
Another important part of the announcement concerns quantum computing. Scaleway is among the first European providers to offer access to several quantum technologies through a single platform. After the collaboration with Quandela, which led first to quantum emulation and then to access to photonic processors, the company expands its offering through new partnerships with Pasqal and IQM Quantum Computers. Pasqal's neutral atom systems enable high-fidelity simulations for chemistry, materials and energy, while IQM's superconducting processors enable universal models for large-scale optimisation and simulation problems. All technologies are accessible through open source frameworks such as Qiskit, Pulser, Perceval and PennyLane, with the possibility of using familiar tools in a single cloud environment.
