Schlein retorts to Meloni: since when does she govern she erases people's freedom
For the Dem secretary, there are too many precarious workers and public health is in trouble. "Denatality is the child of precariousness", and differentiated autonomy is "unconstitutional".

'I am reading things, I am struggling to understand what language Giorgia Meloni is speaking, what film she is seeing. She is seeing another country." This is how PD secretary Elly Schlein responds to the words of Giorgia Meloni who from the stage of an election event in Rome asked her to take a position on whether she is a democrat or not. 'The other day she attacked me after saying that the left erases identity,' she added on the sidelines of the PD event ahead of the European elections in Milan. 'I replied that she does not realise that in the year and a half that she governs she is erasing people's freedom.
Nodes on labour and health
.'Because,' Schlein explained, 'if you have a starvation wage, while she blocks the minimum wage, and you can't pay your rent, while she cancels 330 million in rent funds, if you can't cure yourself because they cut public health care you don't have full freedom in this country. So we keep nailing this government on a gigantic social and wage issue that Meloni keeps trying to evade with weapons of mass distraction and that the PD is not willing to accept'.
Denatality daughter of precariousness, government doesn't see it
Schlein continued: "With free internships you don't pay the rent, if you enter the labour market precariously you remain precarious. The government is increasing precarity. They talk a lot about denatality and they don't see how much it is the result of precariousness that affects young people and women above all'".
Differentiated autonomy is a negation of Article 3 of the Constitution
.Speaking instead of autonomy, in an Instagram live with students, the Dem secretary said: 'If the terrible project on differentiated autonomy passes, the destiny of people would be written according to the place and family in which they are born. We Pd are insisting not to accept it because it would be a denial of Article 3 of the Constitution, which says to remove obstacles."
Government cuts on municipalities
.He also attacked the municipalities. "This government does not understand what it has against the municipalities, because since it took office it has done nothing but cut and dump responsibility on them,' Schlein stressed. 'It did it on reception with a decree that dismantles widespread reception and leaves more responsibility to the municipalities. He did it by cancelling the citizenship income and leaving the municipalities with an answer that they are not able to give, because they do not have sufficient resources. And it is doing it with these 200 million cuts that only thanks to our complaint they decided to delay until after the elections'.
