School contract renewal. Pay rises and back pay already included in the August payslip
The Minister: “We have kept our promise. We are continuing to improve pay and welfare conditions for teachers and school staff.” On average, this amounts to 143 euros for teachers and 107 euros for ATA staff. Arrears will also be paid by August via a one-off payment.
The pay rises resulting from the renewal of the 2025–2027 Education and Research Sector Collective Agreement are already reflected in the August payslip. “On average,” states the Ministry of Education and Merit, “this amounts to 143 euros for teachers and 107 euros for ATA staff. Back pay will also be paid by the end of August via a one-off payment amounting, on average and net of the contractual gap, to 855 euros for teachers and 633 euros for ATA staff.”
Valditara: “Three contracts have been signed since the government took office”
“We have kept the commitment we made: to increasingly recognise the value of those who work for the future of our young people. Our priority is to continue improving the pay and welfare conditions of teachers and school staff. Since the Government took office, we have signed three collective agreements for the education sector, resulting in total monthly pay rises of €412 for teachers and €304 for ATA staff,” said the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara.
