Security and energy transition at Radio 24's Digital Round Table

On 10 June, from 15.00 to 17.00, Radio 24 is organising the Digital Round Table "Energy Future", an event dedicated to the major issues of energy security and transition, moderated by Radio 24 journalist Maurizio Melis, host of Smart City.
In a context marked by a second serious energy crisis, aggravated by an increasingly unstable geopolitical framework, medium to long-term strategies are being sought to reduce exposure to future criticalities. At the centre of the Digital Round Table is the possibility of reconciling energy security and environmental sustainability with acceptable energy costs, questioning the role of energy transition as a lever to tackle the climate and geopolitical crisis together, and how to concretely accelerate its implementation.
During the live streaming on 10 June, the infrastructures required to support the energy transition will also be analysed, as well as the tools available to public and private players to accompany the change in energy systems at national and local level. Special attention will be devoted to new business and development models, capable of combining technological innovation, sustainability and resilience.
Discussing these issues will be protagonists and experts in the field. Speakers at the event will include: Stefano Besseghini, a CNR researcher and former president of ARERA (Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment); Maurizio Delfanti, Professor of Electrical Systems for Energy at the Politecnico di Milano; Lorenzo Giussani, Director of Strategy and Growth of the A2A Group; Marco Rastelli, Head of Electrification & Automation at Siemens Italia; and Valeria Termini, Professor of Political Economy at the Roma Tre University and expert advisor to the CNEL for the Presidency of the Republic.
The discussion is therefore an opportunity to analyse the global dynamics of energy and explore the opportunities offered by technological innovation and green finance, outlining possible development trajectories to build a more resilient, competitive and future-oriented energy system.
