Sentimental Value (Norway)

The new feature film by Joachim Trier, a director who had already achieved considerable international success with his previous film 'The Worst Person in the World', seems to be the big favourite of the five. 'Sentimental Value' is, above all, a screenplay film and an acting film, and these two aspects reach such high levels that it could come out on top even in the face of the very powerful 'The Secret Agent', a Brazilian film by Kleber Mendonça Filho that appears to be its only contender. Both are also nominees in the category of best overall film, but in that group their hopes are practically nil.
