ARERA: gas bills up 12.7 per cent in September for vulnerable customers
Following a surge in electricity prices
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - In September, wholesale gas prices saw another sharp rise, and the total bill for the typical consumer (i.e. with an average annual consumption of 1,100 cubic metres) increased by 12.7 per cent compared with the previous month. This was announced by ARERA in its regular statement, specifying that for the 2.3 million customers covered by the vulnerability protection scheme, the price of the gas commodity alone stands at 78.80 euros/MWh. The reference price of gas for the new typical customer is 162.02 euro cents per cubic metre.
