Serena Autieri will play the role of the charming Satine in 'Moulin Rouge! Il Musical', directed by Massimo Romeo Piparo. The show will be on stage at the Sistina Chapiteau in Rome, Tor di Quinto, until Sunday 1 March . A musical ready, after having broken the wall of 12 weeks, to fly towards the new goal of 19 consecutive weeks of programming. With over 60,000 tickets sold, the show, for the first time in Italy and produced under licence by the Australian production company Global Creatures - known for the international success of 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' on Broadway. A new bet won for Massimo Romeo Piparo. The musical had its world premiere in Boston in 2018 and immediately became a worldwide hit. The following year, the show premiered on Broadway, where it received no less than ten awards at the Tony Awards.
Artistic director and director Massimo Romeo Piparo said he was very happy to have "Serena by my side in this record-breaking show. We have shared many wonderful adventures together but this one can already be called the icing on the cake".
'It is a role,' Serena Autieri emphasised, 'that I have been waiting for for 25 years. A dream that I have jealously guarded in my lingerie drawer. Literally. When the film came out, in September 2001, I wrote a note with a promise to myself and put it there, together with a guêpière that I bought the next day, certain that one day I would wear it on stage as Satine'. Now the dream will come true on the stage of the Sistina Chapiteau.
