Sergeant Gattuso said yes. But it is a national team always in emergency

Here is our new commander. His name is Gennaro Gattuso, nicknamed 'Ringhio', because of his rough and ungood manners.
Rino Gattuso, 47 years old, is our new coach who, after the defeat against Norway, yet another football Caporetto of our national team, will take in hand - like Armando Diaz when he replaced General Luigi Cadorna - the destiny of a group now in disarray that absolutely must get to the 2026 World Cup, our new football Piave line.
Whatever it takes.
We have already skipped two. A third would be a kind of apocalypse, although these days it is better to be cautious with words that evoke quite different scenarios. Let's just say it would be an unbearable black hole for a national team that has won four World Cups in its long and glorious history. The last one was in Berlin, in 2006 with Marcello Lippi on the bench. The one with Grosso's final penalty and Zidane's headbutt on Materazzi. In that World Cup, Gattuso, with other unforgettable champions like Cannavaro, Pirlo. Buffon, Totti, Del Piero, was the working soul of a team that, having started almost without a chance, arrived instead to raise the Cup in the Berlin sky.
So many good memories, splendid ones. As splendid are those of Gattuso at the Milan of Berlusconi and Ancelotti. A fighter, Rino, whose grit and volcanic attachment to the shirt made up for a less than superfine technique. His drive, his determination, have always been a deadly propellant. Now he can be described as 'a motivator', a few years ago he was an unbridled devil who dragged even the most reluctant players to the goal.
