Shooting at a synagogue in Michigan: shooter killed, officer wounded

The attack nightmare in the United States, in retaliation to the attack by Washington and Israel against Iran, materialised in the attack on a synagogue in Michigan. It is currently unclear what the motive of the man who drove his mortar-packed car into the Temple of Israel, on the outskirts of Detroit, and opened fire at security officers before being killed.
But it was evident from the deployment of forces, at least a hundred police cars, that there was fear of an attack of vast proportions. Not least because the targeted synagogue houses one of the largest Reform Jewish congregations in the United States and there is also a kindergarten in the complex. Fortunately no casualties, except for the assailant, and only one injured, an officer hit by his vehicle who managed to enter the synagogue's entrance. The children, all aged between 3 and 5, were immediately evacuated thanks to the extensive security measures in the worship building, as Sheriff Michael Bouchard explained.
The dynamics
The man drove his mortar-packed car into the Temple of Israel on the outskirts of Detroit and opened fire on security officers before being killed. According to CNN reports, the man's name is Ayman Ghazaleh and before the assault he posted pictures of his family, including children, on social media, writing that they had been killed in a recent Israeli attack in the city of Mashghara, Lebanon. "Anti-Semitism knows no limits or boundaries. Israel is attacked because it is the Jewish state,' Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu commented.
For a few hours, West Bloomfield Township was left in suspense, partly because it was not immediately clear whether the attacker had acted alone. As soon as news of the attack was received, the Jewish Federation of Detroit ordered a lockdown of all Jewish organisations in the area and 'security mode' was triggered in the schools. According to initial reconstructions, the man crashed his vehicle at the entrance of the synagogue and was neutralised by guards who shot and killed him. Videos broadcast on American TV showed a column of black smoke rising from the main building of the temple, probably coming from the assailant's car.
Since the beginning of operation "Epic fury" in Iran in sensitive locations all over the United States security measures have been reinforced. Just hours before the 'Temple of Israel attack Donald Trump had received an intelligence briefing on the presence of Iranian sleeper cells in America. "There are a lot of people who have arrived thanks to Biden and that stupid open border. But we know where most of them are, we're watching them all,' the US president assured. In recent days, according to Abc news, the FBI warned California that Iran was planning to attack the West Coast with drone strikes in the event of a US raid. The White House denied the news, however, asking the network to remove it from its site. "This is false information intended to intentionally alarm the American people," spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt attacked on X.
