Mech-I-Tronic, a global player specialising in the development of mechatronic solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and packaging sectors, continues its growth through external lines. The group now acquires Colamark, a company based in Guangzhou, China, specialising in the development and production of automatic machines and complete lines for industrial automation in the pharmaceutical, labelling, counting and serialisation sectors.
The 17 million revenue company,' the group explained in the release, 'has developed proprietary technologies, including advanced visual particle counting and inspection systems for quality control, and high-precision and efficient assembly solutions now adopted by major international industrial players.
'Colamark's entry into the Group,' says Marco Giovannini, President of Mech-I-Tronic, 'represents a strategic step of great industrial value. We are talking about a company that has built its position on technologies of excellence, advanced engineering skills and a deep knowledge of the needs of the pharmaceutical and medical industry. This acquisition fits perfectly into our growth path along the entire mechatronics chain: from process automation to the most advanced packaging and quality control solutions. Integrating Colamark means further expanding our technology portfolio, accelerating the development of high value-added solutions for global customers and structurally strengthening our presence in Asia'.
"We are excited to become part of MECH-I-TRONIC," comments Daniel Chan, CEO of Colamark, "by combining complementary strengths we will be able to create more value for our customers. Colamark's widespread geographic presence, technologically advanced solutions and deep industry experience will create immediate synergies in the provision of complete solutions in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. We will provide systems and services to global customers quickly thanks to the decentralisation of our resources. These synergies will give us the opportunity to combine a more efficient service and a structured offering for Mech-I-Tronic companies across the Asian continent.
Mech - I Tronic ended 2024 with a turnover of more than 165 million euro and an Ebitda of 28. In preliminary figures for 2025, thus excluding this acquisition, it reaches 190 million in revenues.
