Getting to know the backstage of a company like Sky, meeting professionals from the sector, and getting hands-on experience with the most innovative technologies for the creation of audiovisual content: all this is Sky Up Academy Studios, the new project that allows students to live a unique experience directly in the Sky television studios in Milano Santa Giulia. The high school classes involved will put themselves to the test in the creation of multimedia journalistic content and discover the key figures that animate a tech & media company, also with a view to orientation towards the world of work.

The new spaces dedicated to Sky Up Academy Studios were inaugurated today by Sky Italia CEO Andrea Duilio who, together with Sarah Varetto, executive vice president Communications, inclusion and bigger picture of Sky Italia, welcomed the girls and boys and shared with them a moment of discussion on the value of the initiative and the reflections it can stimulate for their future choices.

With Sky Up Academy Studios, the pupils will take part in three different experiences. During the day, they will be able to see the Production Centre, the directors, the editorial offices and the magic of the TV studios up close. The experience will then continue with a career guidance meeting during which the students will be able to reflect on their own inclinations and learn more specifically about working in a tech & media company.

Finally, girls and boys will take on the role of editors, directors and editors for a day, using the most advanced technologies - such as an editing desk, green screen and professional camera - to create original multimedia journalistic content on a topic of their choice from Climate Change, Sports Values and Healthy and Sustainable Food. The pupils will have the opportunity to record and edit the news report directly in the TV studios, supported by Sky's specialised technical staff.

"We are very excited to inaugurate Sky Up Academy Studios, which gives students the opportunity to get hands-on with our cutting-edge technologies and immerse themselves in the Sky world," comments Sarah Varetto. "It will be a formative but also fun experience that will allow students to express their creative potential and discover the skills necessary for the production of multimedia audiovisual content. For us at Sky it will be an opportunity to get even closer to the new generations and transmit to them the passion that guides us in our work every day".

Sky Up Academy Studios is dedicated to third, fourth and fifth grade secondary school classes from all over Italy already enrolled in Sky Up The Edit, the online project aimed at students aged between 8 and 18 years old that aims to develop the digital skills of the younger generations.
