The third edition of 'Sky Up The Edit', Sky's educational project promoting the digital inclusion of young Italian students aged between 8 and 18, has kicked off. Over the course of two years, it has involved more than 16,000 boys and girls and more than 900 classes throughout Italy.
The initiative was presented today during Sky Tg24 Live In Rome, during a debate attended by Minister for Sport and Youths Andrea Abodi, chef and TV presenter Alessandro Borghese and multiple Olympic medallist and world diving champion Tania Cagnotto, broadcast tonight at 9pm on Sky Tg24 and all its digital channels.
Once again this year, teachers and pupils will get involved by tackling the major themes of Climate Change, Sports Values, to which is added in this edition that of Healthy and Sustainable Nutrition, all topics that are increasingly topical today. Primary and secondary school pupils from all over Italy will therefore have the opportunity to take on the role of a small editorial team and create, thanks to the content made available by Sky, a real multimedia journalistic content lasting 90 seconds on one of the three themes proposed.
With Sky Up The Edit, male and female students will enjoy testing their digital skills, develop a critical approach to the world of information, and improve fundamental soft skills such as problem-solving and teamwork.
A great deal of educational and in-depth content is made available on the portal dedicated to schools, which for the third edition is further enriched with an ad hoc gallery of exclusive Sky Nature, Sky Sport and Sky Tg24 titles and documentaries on the three themes, to provide useful ideas for pupils and teachers when creating journalistic content.
