So the car has become the mobile extension of the office
Latest-generation models equipped with infotainment with artificial intelligence enable distraction-free handling of work tasks, thanks in particular to natural language dialogues
Get on board and have everything you need for your work, turning your car into a real travelling office. All while minimising distractions, thanks to voice assistants linked to artificial intelligence. Qualities increasingly desired by those who spend many hours behind the wheel every day, time that can be used efficiently and effectively. Keeping in mind that attention to driving must be a pivotal element when travelling, not only to avoid incurring increasingly hefty fines but above all to avoid putting one's own and others' safety at risk, perfect models for combining mobility and productivity are arriving on the market, starting with the BMW iX3.
The interior of the electric SUV introduces a number of technologies that will arrive in future models of the Helix, starting with the Bmw Operating System X with artificial intelligence with Bmw Panoramic iDrive that translates into a projection at the base of the windscreen from pillar to pillar for an overall size of 43.3 inches visible to every passenger. Integrated with the 17.9-inch central screen and 3D head-up display, it confirms BMW's desire to minimise on-board distractions by saying goodbye to a multitude of screens on the dashboard. The steering wheel is also new, with buttons that only light up when a function is available or active. While the interior already impresses with the technological leap from current BMW models, the iX3 brings to the road the sixth-generation eDrive technology developed for the Neue Klasse that includes new, highly efficient electric motors with 40 per cent less energy loss, 10 per cent less weight and 20 per cent lower production costs, batteries with cylindrical cells and 30 per cent higher density and 30 per cent faster recharging. This translates into 800 kilometres of range on the 50 xDrive model and just 10 minutes of charging time to add around 370 km thanks to 800 volt technology and DC charging up to 400 kW.
Artificial intelligence is also present on the Audi A6 Avant, a model now in its sixth generation in a thermal version and for the first time available with all-electric propulsion. Both versions guarantee 'business-oriented' interiors with the presence of three screens, respectively 11.9" for the instrumentation, 14.5" for the central display of the Mmi system and 10.9" for the one in front of the display. All also linked to the MyAudi app with an artificial intelligence-based assistant linked to ChatGpt.
Similar solutions on the third generation of the Mercedes CLA, which was also recently launched in a hybrid version in addition to the 100 per cent electric engines. The Stuttgart three-box becomes a real travelling office, thanks to the technology on board. The dashboard becomes one large monitor thanks to three side-by-side screens, managed by the proprietary Mbsos operating system, capable of integrating two AI language apps such as ChatGpt 4.0 and Gemini. The MBux virtual assistance system has also evolved, now allowing more advanced dialogue, and for the first time, navigation is based on Google Maps data.
A choice that we also find on the sixth generation Renault Clio, ready to hit the road in a completely new guise. Inside, the dashboard introduces recycled materials and a dual display up to 10.1 inches housing the OpenR Link system with integrated Google, unprecedented for the segment: navigation with Google Maps, voice commands with Google Assistant, access to the Google Play catalogue and wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
