At the Veneto headquarters, the 'Wellness Project' programme is growing year after year to improve corporate welfare, invest in skills and promote a positive and stimulating working environment for around 400 employees. A project in place since 2020 is articulated in different areas, in a corporate path that takes care of its business by putting people and the environment at the centre.

How it works

.

Employees can optimise their bonus in agreed goods and services, benefiting from an additional incentive of up to 20%. To adapt to the changing work environment, the company has also made smart working permanent, improving employees' work-life balance.

And then there is emotional well-being. Since 2022, through the 'Navigate Emotions' project, Socomec Italia has been offering individual sessions with an occupational psychologist to develop emotional intelligence, improving stress management and interpersonal relationships. This project has involved 80 employees so far and plans further developments for 2025. From 2023 onwards, group courses will also help employees to better manage their emotions, recognising and understanding their emotional paths in order to stay in the 'here and now' without being overwhelmed by negative emotions.

Continuing Education

The Group also provides all employees with Socomec Academy, an online course platform to continuously update skills and better meet market challenges. Courses range from corporate products to soft skills, personal development and business skills. In June, Socomec Italia will also open a new company restaurant, 'La Terrazza', combining a modern ambience with high quality service. Using zero-kilometre ingredients, the company will promote healthy and sustainable catering. The restaurant will also be the venue for thematic events and food awareness sessions. On the other hand, the English Summer Camp, now in its twelfth year, is an initiative for employees' children, which integrates learning English with fun activities, promoting personal growth in a stimulating environment.

Wellbeing at work

.

Renzo Ronzani, Managing Director of the Vicenza office, explains: 'With the Wellness Project, we want to create an environment where every person can feel valued and supported to thrive as an integral part of a large international family. It is people who write our history and, above all, it is people who write our future. Because when everyone is well, both in mind and body, the whole company is well'.

In this context, a company's performance is measured not only by its economic results, but also by its positive impact on society and the environment. "The entire Socomec Group firmly believes in the need to reduce its environmental impact by basing its strategy on three pillars: employee welfare, environmental protection and responsible partnerships, supporting customers' energy transition and aiming for zero carbon emissions," explain the company. The Group has joined the UN Global Compact since 2003. With the ENERGIA+ plan, launched in 2022, it aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption through renewable sources. In particular, Socomec Italy has achieved a 26% use of renewable energy, compared to 13% for the entire Group. As of 2022, the Group is also working to quantify and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and has implemented a waste treatment system, with a recovery rate of 68.6%.
