Sodalis enters America, opens two subsidiaries and becomes a 'billion company'

Expansion in America becomes a reality for Sodalis, the wellbeing, beauty and personal care group. The acquisition of the High Ridge Brands gave rise to Sodalis USA and Sodalis Latin America (Mexico, Panama, Peru, Jamaica and Chile), the Italian group's direct subsidiaries in the United States and Latin America.

The main brands are Zest, Sure, Pert, VO5, SGX NYC, Thicker Fuller Hair, Coast and Brut, skin cleansing, hair care and deodorant/fragrance brands with a strong reputation and mass-market presence in the US and Mexico, a business with net sales of EUR 200 million (90% in the US and 10% in Mexico and Latin America).

 

This acquisition makes Sodalis a 'billion company', exceeding EUR 1 billion in net sales.

The team consists of 68 people and is based in Westport (CT), a 1-hour drive from New York, and Mexico City. Production is outsourced to a network of subcontractors located in the US and Mexico.

 

For Sodalis, this is the 28th acquisition, a key step in a journey that began 34 years ago and has today made the group one of Europe's leading independent players in the health, beauty, personal and home care market.
