Nearly 100 new hires have been made since 2023, a tangible sign of the company's ability to attract dynamic and highly qualified personnel. Socomec Italia, the Italian branch of the international Socomec Group, which specialises in the availability, control and safety of low-voltage electrical networks, proves that it invests in talent acquisition thanks to a corporate culture founded on people's wellbeing, flexibility (as evidenced, among other things, by its smart working policy), sustainability and continuous training.
The company, which recorded a turnover of EUR 129 million in 2024 and employs around 400 people in Italy, continues its commitment to promoting a positive and stimulating work environment, thanks to an integrated approach that values people, encourages a work-life balance, and proposes ever new and needs-oriented initiatives. The success in recruiting therefore reflects a strategic plan that focuses on enhancing people's skills and well-being. In particular, 34 recruitments were made in 2023, 37 in 2024 and 20 in the first months of 2025, bringing the total to 91, with an average age of 35 for new recruits.
Top employer 2025
.Precisely as evidence of the activities implemented on these issues, Socomec in recent months received the Top Employer 2025 award in Italy, after having obtained the same recognition in France and China. This prestigious result rewards the company's constant commitment to creating a motivating, inclusive and employee welfare-oriented work environment. The Top Employer certification is awarded to companies that stand out for excellence in HR practices. It is awarded following an in-depth audit that assesses aspects such as HR strategy and organisation, attractiveness, professional development, employee well-being and engagement, and thus represents a standard of quality in the world of work.
The "Wellness Project"
.Since 2020, Socomec Italia has launched the Wellness Project, an articulated programme embracing different areas, which has been enriched with new proposals since 2025: from support for parenthood to initiatives for emotional and mental health and physical wellbeing. The company has always focused on training for the professional and personal growth of its employees, providing multiple stimuli and, in particular, encouraging experiential team-building activities that strengthen cohesion and team spirit, as well as fostering contamination between generations. Attention to mental and emotional wellbeing is at the heart of the programme: the 'Gym of Emotions' is a group activity, in the presence of and led by an occupational psychologist, aimed at facilitating contact with one's emotions and understanding how best to manage them. But there are also individual psychological support meetings dedicated to mental wellbeing for all male and female workers, in collaboration with the online platform Serenis. On the physical wellbeing front, two new features have been introduced in 2025: the Breath Walk, outdoor meetings aimed at activating the body with dynamic and static breathing techniques, and lunchtime yoga lessons, in presence and online. Attention to the health and safety of workers remains the priority, and the continuous commitment is also reflected this year in the organisation of the Safety Challenge planned for September with experiential activities; other innovative initiatives have been implemented, such as: the ergonomic/postural risk course, with practical exercises, and the 'safe driving' course with track tests, aimed at sales personnel and service technicians.
Dedicated workshops and projects
.All initiatives were highly appreciated and involved dozens of company employees, with participation exceeding expectations. The programme also includes workshops dedicated to parenting, aimed at working mothers and fathers to improve personal and professional balance in their dual role, with meetings facilitated by the exchange of experiences between participants. Not only that, in 2024 the company restaurant La Terrazza was also inaugurated, with ingredients from short supply chains and spaces dedicated to thematic events and food awareness, to promote a healthy and sustainable diet, supervised by nutritionists and with vegetarian alternatives for allergies and intolerances. Alongside the Wellness Project, the Socomec Academy training initiatives continue, a platform of online courses to continuously update skills and better face the challenges of the market. Courses range from corporate products to soft skills, personal development and business skills.
