Spain: inflation jumps to 4.3 per cent year-on-year in August, up 0.7 per cent month-on-month

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Inflation soars in Spain in August. According to preliminary data released by the INE, Spain’s national statistics institute, consumer prices rose by 0.7 per cent month-on-month this month, whilst the year-on-year increase stood at 4.3 per cent, seven tenths of a percentage point higher than the figure recorded in July. Core inflation, on the other hand, fell by one-tenth of a percentage point, standing at 2.9 per cent.
