To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Coyote has completely redesigned its mobile application. With more than 12 million speed camera flashes recorded by 2024, the French company is focusing on an even more visible, audible and reliable warning system, all to give motorists the confidence to drive safely and avoid hefty fines.

Coyote Appli (which is the name of the app) introduces a new graphic interface, smoother navigation and improved performance. The update was developed together with the user community, confirming Coyote's commitment to listening to its customers.

One of Coyote Appli's strengths is its ability to offer visual and audible alerts in real time, enhancing the driver's alertness but without distracting him or her. Thanks to the revised sound design and new graphic interfaces, control zones are now easier to identify and understand. The display flashes when speeding and the audible warnings become progressively more intense to ensure an immediate reaction. A survey of 600 Coyote Drive users revealed that 94% never miss a control zone thanks to the audible notifications.

The app update also introduced a completely redesigned alert system, with new shapes and colours that improve visibility and interpretation. Control alerts retain the classic triangular shape, while hazard and safety alerts vary in intensity depending on the severity of the alert. According to the same survey, 98% of users believe that the alerts are clear, easy to read and always reliable. With 5 million active users in Europe, the Coyote Community ensures real-time alerts, making the service accurate and safe.

Another new feature exclusive to Coyote Appli is the introduction of customised driving modes, which allow users to tailor the experience according to their needs. The 'Expert' mode anticipates dangers up to 30 km away, while the 'Map' mode offers a constant view of traffic and speed camera possibilities during normal navigation. The new light theme (and there is also a dark one) automatically adapts to driving conditions, and optimisation for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures seamless integration into compatible vehicles.

The new Coyote Appli is available from 31 March on the App Store and Google Play, with a gradual roll-out continuing over the next few days. To use Coyote Appli's services, a monthly subscription of €7.99 is required, which becomes €10.99 if you want to integrate it with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay services.
