Spid, not only Poste Italiane: here are the providers who offer it for free (and those who already charge for it)
Analysis of the offers of the 12 AgID-enabled SPID operators, with a focus on annual costs and recognition methods for activating the service.
Poste Italiane's decision to make pay (6 euros per year) the SPID-enabled PosteID service (which affects 28.7 million users out of a total of almost 40 million SPID identities) for the time being remains limited within the patrol of the 12 digital identity managers enabled by AgID to offer the service. Considering only personal SPIDs (and not multiple ones, for minors or companies and professionals), those providing an annual fee for the moment are Aruba, InfoCert, TeamSystem ID and SpidItalia Register.it. Net of any registration costs (depending on the type of channel chosen for the latter, from video recognition and electronic signature to 'in presence', via the National Services Card or electronic identity card), the other providers Intesi Group, ID InfoCamere, TIM ID, Sielte ID, Namirial, Lepida, EtnaID offer the service free of charge.
A payment
SPID Aruba ID Personal is free for the first year and costs upon renewal 4,90 euro + VAT/year (6 euro in total). To activate it, different recognition methods are needed, ranging from 29,90 euro + VAT (36,50 euro in total) for the webcam, up to the use of the Health Card/National Services Card (free of charge). Same cost also for InfoCert: from the second year 4.90 euro + VAT per year, plus activation costs ranging from 19.90 euro + VAT (24.28 euro in total) for video recognition up to the use of digital signature or the National Services Card (free of charge). SpidItalia Register.it charges €70.95 for its Spid Power service for the first year, including SPID digital identity citizen credentials. From the second year, the cost is €70.95 + €9.90 digital identity per year + VAT (€12.08 in total), with automatic renewal unless cancelled. TeamSystem ID, on the other hand, provides for an annual fee of €7 + VAT (€8.54 in total).
Service without annual fee
The other providers Intesi Group, ID InfoCamere, TIM ID, Sielte ID, Namirial, Lepida, EtnaID do not have annual fees and use free registration if you use recognition via CIE, CNS or digital signature. Only in the case of recognition by remote webcam or otherwise with video is there a cost, which can range from around 10 euro to over 30 euro.
