Plan to lighten construction sites in view of the Spring bridges. From Thursday, 25 April 2024 to Monday, 6 May, Anas, a company in the Infrastructure Cluster of the Gruppo Fs Italiane, in anticipation of the increase in traffic on its road and motorway network, has decided to remove 564 construction sites, 56% of the total, with the aim of limiting disruption to traffic and ensuring a smoother road system.
On the remaining 459 immovable construction sites, Anas has planned alternative routes for the most critical sections on the days when traffic is heaviest. During the entire period, surveillance will be increased and the constant presence of personnel will be guaranteed. Viabilità Italia foresees a red dot on the morning of Thursday 25 April and on the afternoons of Sunday 28 April and Sunday 5 May.
Among tourists' favourite itineraries are the large cities of art and seaside resorts, while at regional level, intense flows are expected towards Lazio, Campania, Liguria, Apulia, Tuscany and Abruzzo.
For journeys back to the big cities, traffic will concentrate along the major routes from the afternoon of Sunday 28 April and Sunday 5 May. Among the routes concerned: in Lazio, the Grande Raccordo Anulare and the A91 Roma-Fiumicino; in Milan, the statale 36 del Lago di Como e dello Spluga; in Turin, the Raccordo Autostradale 10 Torino-Caselle and in Naples the state road 163 Amalfitana.
To facilitate travel, the circulation of heavy goods vehicles will be suspended on Thursday 25 April, Sunday 28 April and Wednesday 1 May from 09.00 to 22.00. Also in view of the counter-exodus on Sunday 5 May, the blockade will be in force from 09.00 to 22.00.
