Stellantis: global deliveries down 1 per cent in Q3 to 1.286 million; Europe up 10 per cent
Deliveries to North America down 12 per cent due to production stoppages
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - , 13 Oct – Stellantis’s consolidated global deliveries for the quarter ending 30 September are estimated at around 1.3 million units – 1.286 million to be precise – down 1 per cent compared with the same period last year. As stated in a press release, “the growth in BEV volumes in the wider European market was offset by lower volumes in North America, reflecting the scheduled summer production break, and in the Middle East and Africa, mainly due to the downturn in the Turkish market”. The term ‘deliveries’ refers to the volume of vehicles delivered to the dealer network, to distributors or directly to end customers and fleets, which form the basis for revenue recognition. In Greater Europe, deliveries rose by 10 per cent to 588,000 units, with growth recorded for both Stellantis and Leapmotor brands, with EVs making the most significant contribution. In North America, they fell by 12 per cent to 357,000 units, mainly due to the scheduled summer production halt, which primarily affected certain Jeep models, including the Grand Cherokee and Compass, both of which were down by around 25,000 units compared with the same period last year. In the Middle East and Africa, sales fell by 21 per cent to 75,000 units; in South America, they remained unchanged at 251,000 units; and in Asia-Pacific, they fell by 6 per cent to 15,000 units.
