Stellantis: -5.5 per cent in new car registrations in October, +12.1 per cent year-to-date
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - A shortage of a component from a supplier has weighed on Stellantis’s vehicle registrations in Italia in October. According to data compiled by Dataforce, the Stellantis group, including Leapmotor, registered 31,865 cars in Italia in October 2026, down 5.5 per cent compared with the same month in 2025, when registrations totalled 33,737. The market share for the month stood at 24.2 per cent, down from 26.8 per cent a year ago. In the January–October period, registrations totalled 411,825, up 12.1% compared with the same period in 2025, when the figure was 367,358. The market share for the 10-month period stood at 29.4 per cent, down from 28.4 per cent a year ago.
Excluding Leapmotor, Stellantis’s registrations in Italia in October totalled 30,265, down 9.5 per cent from the 33,449 recorded in October 2025. The market share for the month stood at 23 per cent, down from 26.6 per cent. In the first 10 months, registrations totalled 381,781, representing a 4.7 per cent increase compared with the January–October 2025 period, when the figure stood at 364,494. The market share stands at 27.2 per cent, down from 28.2 per cent in the same period a year ago.
