Stellantis: Arnaud Belloni is the new CEO of Fiat, replacing Olivier François. Xavier Peugeot takes charge of Jeep Europe.
The manager has also been appointed CEO of Abarth and Lancia, as well as CMO for Europe. Francois will take on the role of strategic adviser
Stellantis has appointed Arnaud Belloni as CEO of the Fiat, Abarth and Lancia brands. He will also serve as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Europe, reporting to Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer for Enlarged Europe. In his new role, he takes over from Olivier François, who will support Belloni until mid-October to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to support Stellantis as a strategic adviser, contributing to a wider range of strategic issues, including brand and product strategy. “We wish him all the best for the future and for the new professional challenges that lie ahead, and we are delighted to be able to continue to benefit from his experience and expertise in his role as a strategic adviser to our company,” said Stellantis CEO, Antonio Filosa. Belloni returns to Stellantis, where he had previously spent 16 years working with the company’s Italian and French brands, from the Renault Group, where he had served as global chief marketing officer since November 2020 and as chief branding officer for all the Group’s brands since May 2023. “We are delighted to welcome Arnaud back to Stellantis. His international vision, creative leadership and in-depth knowledge of our brands will be crucial in strengthening our marketing activities in Europe and supporting Fiat, Abarth and Lancia in their next phase of development,” emphasised Cappellano.
Belloni’s appointment forms part of the reorganisation of the Enlarged Europe division, which comes into effect tomorrow, as part of the implementation of the FastLane 2030 strategic plan. The division continues to report to Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer for Enlarged Europe. “These appointments represent a further crucial step in accelerating the implementation of our FastLane 2030 strategic plan,” said Cappellano, explaining that “they lay the foundations for a European marketing vision centred on creativity and innovation, reinforce Jeep’s growth trajectory through dedicated leadership, and define more clearly the positioning of Lancia and DS Automobiles as specialist brands, preserving their distinctive identities whilst, at the same time, strengthening their integration with Fiat and Citroën respectively”.
Specifically, in addition to Belloni, Stellantis has appointed Xavier Chardon as CEO of the DS Automobiles brand, in addition to his current role at Citroën. Furthermore, Xavier Peugeot has been appointed head of the Jeep brand in Europe, a newly created position reporting directly to the region’s COO. As stated in a press release, “this role has been created to provide the Jeep brand with all the tools necessary to respond effectively to the needs of European customers and to strengthen its development in the European market in terms of product, marketing and sales”. Finally, Roberta Zerbi will focus her work on Customer Journey Excellence and Network Development. Consequently, within the Commercial Operations Enlarged Europe division, led by Maurizio Zuares, Gaetano Thorel will take on responsibility for the Lancia brand across Enlarged Europe, in addition to his current responsibility for Fiat and Abarth Enlarged Europe, reporting functionally to Arnaud Belloni. Furthermore, Laurent Diot has been appointed Head of the DS Automobiles brand for Enlarged Europe, in addition to his current responsibility for Citroën in Enlarged Europe, reporting functionally to Xavier Chardon. Fabio Catone has been confirmed as Head of the Jeep, Ram and Dodge brands for Enlarged Europe, reporting functionally to Xavier Peugeot.
