Stellantis, unified platform arrives: one multi-energy architecture for 30 models
Goodbye Small, Medium and Large platforms. One architecture for more than 30 models
One platform for cars from about 4 metres to 4.80 metres, i.e. segments B, C and D. Stellantis says goodbye to the Small, Medium and Large platforms and introduces STLA One, expected by 2027 and designed to combine the current platforms into a single scalable architecture. Conceived to be 20 per cent cost efficient, it is designed to evolve into a mega platform capable of supporting more than 30 models and with a target to exceed 2 million units by 2035.
STLA One platform
The first platform from Stellantis to integrate STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit and steer-by-wire technology, the STLA One platform will be 800-volt compatible, accommodate multiple Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries to support accessibility and reduce exposure to critical raw materials, and will have a cell-to-body design with the battery integrated into the vehicle structure to reduce cost, weight and complexity while optimising capacity.
By 2030, Stellantis aims to realise 50% of volumes on three global platforms, with up to 70% component reuse. This strategy is designed to reduce time to market, strengthen supplier stability and improve cost efficiency.
