Stellantis, deliveries up 12% in Q1
Good volumes in the USA and Europe, Leapmotor brings in 22 thousand units. In the Old Continent, citycar launches make up 85%
Leading the volume growth of Stellantis deliveries in the first quarter of 2026 remains the United States, but this time the Europe is also growing strongly. The Group announces the estimated consolidated deliveries for the first quarter of 2026 at 1.4 million units, 12 per cent higher than the previous year.
"The increase is largely attributable to Wider Europe and North America, also supported by year-on-year delivery growth in the Middle East & Africa and South America," Stellantis describes in a note. North America in particular saw a growth in deliveries of around 54 thousand units compared to the same period in 2025, a 17 per cent year-on-year increase. In Europe, volumes increased by about 69 thousand units, a 12 per cent year-on-year increase.
The trend in the US and Europe
The improvement in US delivery volumes "reflects a strengthening of commercial momentum in the region," writes Stellantis. Deliveries of the Ram 1500 (light-duty) HEMI® V8, the upgraded Jeep® Grand Wagoneer, and the new Jeep® Cherokee contributed more than 100 per cent of the year-on-year growth, a dynamic partially offset by a decline in Jeep® Compass deliveries, linked to increased production of the Jeep® Cherokee, which is also produced at the Toluca plant.
In Wider Europe, light commercial vehicle volumes remained stable at 135,000 units, the Group reported, and volume growth for passenger cars was attributable to new launches. Deliveries by Fiat, Opel/Vauxhall and Citroën benefited from the performance of models on the Smart Car platform (Citroën C3, C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, Fiat Grande Panda), which grew by around 48 thousand units, up 85% year-on-year. Leapmotor brand vehicles saw a strong commercial acceleration, with deliveries up 22 thousand units to 27 thousand units, thanks to the success, particularly in Italia, of the Leapmotor T03 model.
The other areas
In the Middle East & Africa, deliveries increased by 11 thousand units, or 11% year-on-year, driven by Turkey (12 thousand units more). Algeria also made a positive contribution thanks to the progressive increase in local production. Deliveries to Gulf Cooperation Council countries, on the other hand, decreased by over 50% to 3 thousand units.
