Stellantis new member of World Class Manufacturing Association
The group joins the Wcme Association, the international, non-profit organisation that promotes excellence in manufacturing
The board of directors of the World Class Manufacturing association in recent days has unanimously approved the membership application submitted by Antonio Filosa, ceo of Stellantis. The group's entry into the international organisation will significantly strengthen the activities carried out within the areas of work and ongoing projects, with the aim of contributing to the development of new skills, visions and values that characterise WCM.
At the heart of the ever-growing Association is World Class Manufacturing, an integrated management system aimed at improving both production performance by eliminating waste and increasing not only quality but also efficiency, with the goal of achieving operational excellence that is a guarantee of further competitiveness of the manufacturing industry globally.
The goal for Stellantis will be to increase industrial excellence
Becoming a member of the World Class Manufacturing Association will, in fact, increase Stellantis' commitment to industrial excellence by benchmarking at global levels of commitment, further consolidating the principles of lean manufacturing in all the group's plants, and reinforcing rigour in production, as well as accelerating performance through collaboration with all the key players in the WCM ecosystem.
