Stellantis: outperforms the market, with new car registrations up 6.2 per cent in August and up 14 per cent over eight months

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - , - Following the rise recorded between December and July, Stellantis’s strong sales momentum continues, with figures for August also showing an increase, outperforming the market as a whole (+3.15 per cent). Last month, the group – including figures from Leapmotor – recorded 18,845 registrations, up 6.2 per cent on the 17,740 units registered in the same month of 2025. In July, they had risen by 3.5 per cent. Excluding Leapmotor, which registered 851 cars (+254 per cent), registrations would have risen by 3 per cent month-on-month and by 6 per cent over the eight-month period. In August, Stellantis held a 27.2 per cent share of the Italian market, compared with 26.4 per cent in the same month of 2025. In the first eight months of the year, Stellantis registered 341,225 cars, a rise of 14 per cent compared with the same period last year (299,264 cars were registered in the January–August 2025 period), outperforming the market as a whole, which grew by 8.54 per cent. Over the eight-month period, the market share stood at 30.2 per cent (up from 28.7 per cent). These are the car registration figures compiled by Stellantis based on Dataforce data.
