Stellantis, voluntary redundancies for 610 Mirafiori workers

Stellantis announced the voluntary redundancy of 610 workers in Turin: 250 from the body shops, 19 from the Presses, 31 from Mould Construction, 53 from Pcma in San Benigno, 9 from the former Tea in Grugliasco, 212 from the Central Bodies, 20 from Services, 16 from the Fiat Research Centre.

"The CEOs change, but the trend of emptying Mirafiori and impoverishing Turin does not change. That is why we did not sign the agreement in which nothing is planned for the future. Instead of relaunching production, of having a composite plan for the historic Turin plant, the new CEO continues to tread the wrong path of his predecessor. After having toured Mirafiori, it would be useful for him to meet the representatives of the workers to discuss and find the right solutions so as not to completely dissipate a collective heritage of know-how, knowledge and skills in building cars,' commented Edi Lazzi, secretary general of Fiom CGIL in Turin.

"While the company launches reassuring messages in words that it then betrays punctually with facts, 610 more workers are leaving.
