Stellantis: Rocca says he has no intention of selling Cassino, but vigilance remains high
“We know how important his presence is to the local area”
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “Stellantis has no intention of either selling or partially divesting the plant” in Cassino; “there had been contacts with other investors, but at this stage that possibility has been ruled out”. This was stated by Francesco Rocca, Governor of Lazio, during the update on the region’s Industrial Plan, held today in Rome.
“As for the automotive sector,” he added, “we’re keeping a very close eye on things. We’ll be travelling to Turin with the vice-president to explore some of the ideas that are currently being developed and will be presented in the autumn. We’re on top of things, we’re not letting up, and we know just how important Stellantis’s presence is for that region.”
Vice-President Roberta Angelilli then pointed out that “next Tuesday there is a meeting at Mimit on the automotive sector. Stellantis rang us just this morning to set out its position”.
