Turnover of 254 million euros (+12% compared to 2023), industrial investments of 13 million euros, 280 employees, 37 new hires and over 4 thousand hours of training: Paglieri, a Piedmontese company active in the production of body care, laundry and home care products (including the Felce Azzurra, Cléo, Mon Amour, Aria di Casa, Aquolina and Pink Sugar brands), presents the Sustainability Report 2024: the third edition of the document that recounts the group's commitment to combining industrial development, attention to people and responsibility towards the territory and the environment.

The year 2024 ended for the Group with net sales of EUR 254 million, an increase of around 12% compared to 2023, confirming a steady growth path supported by a solid industrial investment strategy and the integration of ESG criteria into the business model. The economic value generated amounts to EUR 225.1 million, supporting the three-year investment plan for future development.

Production capacity was also further strengthened: 10 active lines and more than 300 million pieces made, with €13 million of industrial investments, up significantly from €11.4 million in 2023. As part of the multi-year investment plan of more than EUR 57 million (2024 - 2027).

The focus on people remains central: the group has 280 employees, with 37 new hires (23 in 2023) and more than 4,000 hours of training tracked according to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) criteria. In addition, the first Safety Day was organised in 2024, technological innovations for safety were introduced and welfare measures were strengthened, with 3.8% of workers belonging to protected categories.

'Our daily commitment starts with our people: safety, training, inclusion and welfare are essential elements of our corporate culture,' says Debora Paglieri, Paglieri's CEO. 'It is thanks to them that we continue to grow, innovate and strengthen our ties with the territory. Moreover, through our Future Vision, we confirm our commitment to operate as a responsible player in sustainable development, with the ambition of contributing positively to the collective wellbeing and competitiveness of the Italian production system'.

The results achieved and the investment plan launched have helped consolidate the group's ties with the local area. Among the most significant actions is the establishment of the 'Mario Paglieri' Scholarship, realised in collaboration with the Solidal Foundation for Research. The initiative, supported with a donation of EUR 25,000, is dedicated to the memory of the historic entrepreneur and aims to finance the work of a young researcher in the role of data manager at the Department of Integrated Activities Research and Innovation (DAIRI) of the Alessandria University Hospital for one year.

Alongside its support for research, Paglieri has continued to support established national and international realities such as the Umberto Veronesi Foundation, committed to the fight against cancer, and the La Forza e il Sorriso association, which offers psychological and practical support to women undergoing cancer treatment through beauty and wellness workshops.

The commitment to the community has also been expressed in symbolic initiatives with a strong social impact, such as the donation of the Christmas Tree to the city of Alessandria, a gesture that has helped to strengthen the sense of belonging and to enhance moments of collective sharing. Moreover, for 2024, Paglieri has renewed its commitment to childhood, dedicating attention both to the children of the group's employees and to children in difficult situations, through the choice of solidarity gifts in support of UNICEF activities around the world.

On the environmental front, Paglieri has strengthened its commitment with self-production of energy from photovoltaic plants and an efficiency plan that has helped contain emissions, amounting to 926 tonnes of CO₂e Scope 1 and 1,961 tonnes Scope 2 location-based, in line with reduction targets. New solutions for responsible waste management were also introduced, such as the Ecomatico software, the paper and cardboard compactor and dedicated training programmes. A new steam blending plant will also come on stream, with expected benefits on water consumption and waste management.

"Our growth is the result of targeted investments, rigorous governance, innovation in production processes and concrete attention to people and communities," adds Fabio Rossello, CEO of Paglieri. "The results of 2024 show how sustainability is an integral part of our development model and an engine for creating lasting and sustainable value in the long term. From the choice of recyclable packaging to the formulation of products that are increasingly respectful of nature, every step we take reflects our desire to combine well-being and environmental protection'.
