Strong alliance between hirers and repairers

Fleets yes, or fleets no? The car repairers' dilemma emerged in a debate staged a few days ago at Autopromotec, the biennial exhibition dedicated to the automotive aftermarket. According to the latest Aniasa Report, the association of the car rental industry, there are an increasing number of users who appreciate 'all-inclusive' services, choosing to subscribe to them for longer periods of time (in 80% of cases, contracts exceed 36 months). And the value of maintenance work on rented vehicles is also growing, reaching 1.3 billion euros in 2024. Car repairers who are satisfied with the synergy with rental companies appreciate the guaranteed volumes and the possibility of offering fast and certified services. But it is not all doom and gloom. There are also those who had ten-year relationships with rental companies and then terminated them, due to reduced profit margins and constraints on the use of components. According to Aniasa, rental today cannot do without these professionals: 'Considering the increase in the duration of contracts and the fleet that is set to grow, repairers have now become a must-have partner for rental companies.
