Student elections: once the polls have closed, the names must be removed from the web
For schools, the Data Protection Authority’s message is clear: lists of voters and candidates for student representatives must be removed from the website once the elections are over. And a request for deletion, even if unwelcome, always deserves a written, registered and prompt reply.
Il Garante Privacy (provvedimento n.752/2026) ha chiarito che chi vota o si candida alle elezioni studentesche non resta schedato online per sempre: se chiede di cancellare il proprio nome, l'ente deve rispondere entro un mese.
