Summer Plan 2026, 300 million ready

Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara signed the EUR 300 million decree for the new Summer Plan, which provides for recreational, skill-building and social activities during the summer break from classes.

"The Summer Plan offers valuable opportunities for students," stressed Minister Valditara, "We are convinced that it is necessary to make schools a place of aggregation, especially for children and young people who, during the holiday period, lose a fundamental point of reference and cannot count on other experiences of personal growth because of their parents' work requirements or special family situations.

Within the framework of their organisational autonomy, all schools will be able to use the resources allocated for the next period to activate sporting, musical, theatrical, recreational and educational enhancement projects, to develop the talents of young people and, more generally, all those initiatives that foster relationality, aggregation, sociability, acceptance and group life.
