Grand finale with celebratory concert for the 160th anniversary of Il Sole 24 Ore. The celebrations for the newspaper's 'genetliaco' culminated under the solemn arches of Milan Cathedral and to the notes of Johann Sebastian Bach's Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D minor BWV 1004 and Pyotr Il'ič Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 in E minor op. 64, under the baton of Maestro Lorenzo Viotti, who conducted the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra.
The 160th anniversary celebrations have seen a packed schedule of initiatives throughout the year, and yesterday evening offered the public a musical experience of exceptional artistic value and strong symbolic significance.
