From new pandemics - starting with the one already underway of antibiotic-resistant super bacteria that could become the leading cause of death in Italy in 2050 - to vaccines. And then the frontier of longevity, which is being moved further and further afield thanks to research and new treatments with the aim of reducing the gap between life expectancy and healthy life years, up to the challenge of challenges, namely that of trying to save the ailing National Health Service. And then there are the light-polluted skies that endanger biodiversity with negative repercussions on human health as well. These are the health-related topics of the Trento 2025 Festival of Economics.
