The latest decree on the Superbonus, with the cancellation of the invoice discount and the assignment of building credits, is now operational. It was approved on Tuesday 26 March by the Council of Ministers. The initial stop for earthquake-prone areas also required additional investigation in the fine-tuning of the final text, on which an agreement was then reached with the retention, but with an expenditure ceiling. On 29 March, the decree (Decree-Law 39/2024) was published in the 'Gazzetta Ufficiale', and came into force on Saturday, 30 March. It is now awaiting conversion by the Senate.
But what are the key dates for understanding the blockade just launched by the government?
The first deadline: 16 February 2023
.Those who submitted a Cilas by 16 February last year are safe and can still make transfers and discounts, but only if by 30 March 2024 they have already made expenditures, linked to invoices for work actually carried out.
The new squeeze: 30 March 2024

The options: 4 April 2024
On Thursday, 4 April, the deadline for communicating options for 2023 expenditure and the remaining instalments from previous years expires. For the superbonus alone, this deadline will close the game for more than 40 billion investments.
