The MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Ago is not just a motorbike: it is a declaration of intent, a living homage to the legend of Giacomo Agostini and the Italian engineering tradition. Presented to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Varese-based brand and Ago's 83rd birthday, this superbike will be produced in just 83 units, each one numbered and signed by the champion himself.
At the heart of the project is a revolutionary idea: to integrate details from real trophies won by Agostini into the motorbikes. Each ignition key, set in a red anodised aluminium body, in fact includes a brass coin taken from an original trophy donated by the champion. The excitement, in short, begins even before you get on the saddle.
Aesthetically, the Superveloce 1000 Ago combines retro styling with modern MV Agusta language. The Fire Red Matt and Magnum Silver Matt livery, stripes inspired by Ago's racing suit and vintage spoke wheels blend with components such as the carbon fibre bodywork and gold CNC details. The excellence continues in the technical equipment: 208 hp four-cylinder engine, titanium connecting rods, radial valves, EAS 4.0 electronic gearbox, ABS with cornering and Ride-by-Wire with customisable maps.
Beneath its elegant livery, the Superveloce 1000 Ago hides a technological heart: an inline four-cylinder engine with 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and 116.5 Nm of torque. The components, including forged titanium connecting rods, radial valves and DLC-coated cams, allow the engine to reach 14,000 rpm with vibrations reduced to a minimum thanks to the counter-rotating shaft. The MVICS 2.1 electronics, MV EAS 4.0 electronic gearbox and four customisable Riding Modes guarantee modular and precise performance. The traction control system and Front Lift Control allow optimum riding even in extreme conditions, while the Ride by Wire allows smooth and adaptive interaction with the bike.
The high-tensile steel trellis frame, reinforced by aluminium plates, supports fully adjustable Öhlins electronic suspension, including an electronic steering damper and 36 mm rear monoshock. The Brembo braking system with Stylema callipers, 320 mm discs and advanced ABS with cornering and RLM functions, ensures safety and competition performance.
