Fuels: Tajani says Eni has made the right choice; other companies should follow suit
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “I hope that all the other companies will follow Eni’s example because the best way to make things work is through dialogue: that way, the markets are not spooked and the business community is involved in a strategy for growth.” So said Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of his visit to the Villaggio della Legalità, regarding Eni’s announcement of a cap on fuel prices. “When there are obstacles to overcome, the government and private companies can work together to provide concrete solutions for the public,” added Tajani. “The approach I had suggested has prevailed: not taxes, but engagement,” concluded the Deputy Prime Minister. “It seems to me that Eni’s decision to cap energy prices is the right one.”
