In the long series of end-of-year deadlines, one place in the front row is taken by Tari, the waste tax. In Milan, 750,000 bills are arriving to users both in their mailboxes and digitally to remind them of the bill to be paid by 6 December.

Only balance for those who have paid the first instalment

.

About half of the users - the municipality said in a note - will find the balance of this year's tax indicated on the bulletin: more than 50% of taxpayers, in fact, have paid the first instalment, due on 10 July.

Single payment

.

The other half of the citizens, who instead opted to pay their waste tax in a lump sum at the end of the year, will find the total amount due for 2024 on the incoming bulletin.

Paper or online bulletin

.

The traditional paper bulletin has been sent and is arriving by mail to 257 thousand users. All the others, about 460 thousand domestic and non-domestic users, will find the Tari notice on their citizen's file, receiving it in their email, ordinary or Pec box.

Digital Consultation

.

The bulletin can be consulted and paid from the file accessed, via Spid or Cie, either on the City of Milan's web portal or through the smartphone app. This year, the sending of the bulletin in digital format (instead of paper) to two-thirds of the recipients - as underlined by the Municipality of Milan - allowed the administration to save 3 million sheets of paper, 460,000 envelopes and about 350,000 euro in printing and postage costs.
