Tax evasion: +9.6% revenue from assessments in the first ten months of 2025

In the period from January to October 2025, revenue from assessment and control activities amounted to €12,824 million (+€1,125 million, or +9.6%), of which: €6,561 million (+€998 million, or +17.9%) came from direct taxes and €6,263 million (+€127 million, or +2.1%) from indirect taxes. This is what emerges from the Tax Revenue Bulletin published on the website of the Finance Department of the MEF.
In general, in the period from January to October 2025, tax revenues assessed on an accrual basis amounted to EUR 471,630 million, an increase of EUR 9,338 million (+2.0%) compared to the same period of the previous year. Direct taxes amounted to €266,222 million (+€940 million, or 0.4%) and indirect taxes to €205,408 million (+€8,398 million, or +4.3%). For the month of October alone, total revenue amounted to EUR 44,679 million (+2.2%).
