Taking the public administration further into the future. This is the common thread running through the new business plan of Sogei, the technology partner of the Italian tax authorities (but not only). The strategic document for the two-year period 2025-2027 represents - as reported in a Sogei note - an evolution of the previous one, orienting the company's growth path towards a consolidation of Sogei's role as a technology partner of reference for the Ministry of the Economy and the main public administrations.
Eight areas of intervention
.The new plan is divided into eight areas of intervention, organised into two strategic clusters ('Consolidation of positioning' and 'Evolution and innovation') with the aim of strengthening the focus on the core business, promoting the digitisation of public services, enhancing the national information heritage, and strengthening the company's technological and infrastructural capabilities.
Computer Security Objective
.Among the priorities for the three-year period, a central role is reserved for strengthening cybersecurity, thanks to the advanced integration between the activities of the Cert (Computer emergency response team) and the Soc (Security operation centre). This synergy enables more effective and coordinated security management, favours the implementation of proactive prevention models and contributes to the continuous updating of the corporate cybersecurity strategy, in line with national (Acn) and European (Nis 2) regulations.
Investments in artificial intelligence
.The 2025-2027 business plan also envisages major investments in artificial intelligence, multi-cloud infrastructures, application platform evolution and data centre modernisation, supporting the digital transformation of public administration and the resilience of digital services delivered to citizens.
Technological innovation
.As Sogei's CEO Cristiano Cannarsa explains, "we are strengthening our commitment to building a public administration that is increasingly digital, secure, and close to citizens, thanks to the increasingly central registry circularity guaranteed by Sogei. In fact, our strategic vision is based on technological innovation and precisely on the integration of strategic databases and national registers, to support the MEF and the entire institutional ecosystem in the challenge of modernisation".
